Our Martial Arts training builds confidence and self esteem. The achievement process of earning belts and degrees earns recognition and respect from peers and not to mention personal achievement and success. It teaches everyone to develop a positive attitude, which can make all the difference in your future. Our Martial Art teaches everyone to become an individual within a group. It is based on respect for yourself and others.

We provide goal setting through belt testing. Children learn this very important principle along with the discipline needed to make their goals a reality. Goal setting carries over into everyday life at school, home and other personal ambitions. At Brown’s we lead by example to help our students reach their personal goals and experience results in an environment where their dignity and respect towards one another is always present.

Studies indicate that childhood obesity is at an all time high. Proper nutrition and exercise help put you children on the right track for the rest of their lives. At Brown’s we take your child’s health to heart. Our martial arts programs are great for exercising young bodies while building confidence, discipline and respect. The best part of being a student at Brown’s Martial Arts is that it is fun! It is a great fitness regime – combining strength, flexibility, co-ordination and cardiovascular workouts.

All classes are family classes! Parents and Children participate together, making Brown’s Martial Arts the perfect activity in which the entire family can partake.
“Families that Train together Stay together”.

We recite a Student Creed at the beginning of each class. This helps remind our students the principles we try to instill in them through Karate.

As a student of the Martial Arts, I seek to develop true confidence, through knowledge of the mind, honesty in the heart and strength in the body, I will continue to develop self discipline, in order to bring out the best in myself and in others.

Karate isn’t just kicking and punching… it is about Focus, Discipline, Respect, Control, Fitness, Memory, Teamwork, Coordination, Balance and much more!

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu

Certified Gracie Jiu-jitsu Training Centers (CTCs) are martial arts schools that are authorized to teach the proprietary self-defense programs developed by Gracie University Headquarters in Torrance, California. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) is one of the fastest growing martial arts on the planet, but the success of your jiu-jitsu journey will rely heavily on the culture of the school you attend and instructional methods utilized by your teachers. Even though all CTCs are independently owned and operated, we are very proud to inform you that all of certified instructors have undergone extensive training directly under the Gracie Family to ensure that you are provided with the best possible learning environment on your path to jiu-jitsu mastery.

Little Dragons

This program is designed specifically for children (ages 3-5). It focuses on improving your child’s basic motor and listening skills. With the Little Dragon’s Program, your child will be exposed to positive social interactions. They will learn to follow skills in a positive, fun and motivational way.

In order to thoroughly develop each skill, while making it fun to learn, the curriculum includes a variety of drills used to teach each skill. All drills are fun and easy to learn. Our instructors use educational and fun games to help your child accomplish each skill level in a positive, fitness-oriented manner. We also monitor your child’s progress by their skill stripes, which promotes excellent goal setting skills. All classes are taught in a fun and educational environment!

At Brown’s children are encouraged and guided in making good choices and good decisions. As well as reinforcing the values taught at home, we empower them with practical tips to help them to feel more secure in their environment.

Children are awarded a stripe on their belt at the end of each class for participation in the development a new skill, for example:

Focus – Red stripe
Memory – Orange stripe
Teamwork – Blue stripe
Discipline – White stripe
Control – Green stripe
Fitness – Black stripe
Balance – Yellow stripe
Coordination – Brown stripe

As a parent, your role to help your child get the most out of the Little Dragons Program is:

Ensuring regular attendance,
Monitor your child’s skill stripe progress,
Update your calendar on skills covered,
Know when belt advancements take place and Invite family, friends and teachers to belt promotions.
Children learn best in an environment where they feel safe and secure. Although this responsibility rests primarily with the parents or caregiver, a good martial arts school can reinforce the values taught at home.

Special Needs Program

The Brown’s Martial Arts Special Needs program is a great way for students with special needs to participate in a group activity with others.

Through this Program, we strive to help each of our students become the best that they can be with drills that can adapt to any skill level and help them improve at every stage of their karate journey!
